Recent images of Grey Gardens

Reader Brian sent in a couple of recent photos of Grey Gardens. I must agree with him about the house. Personally, this raccoon is quite a fan of what Edie referred to as "the overgrown Louisiana bayou look" as well!
The house was reshingled within the past few years. I'm pleased to see that the shingles have weathered a bit!

Obviously Spring hasn't really arrived out there...notice the gorgeous sparse tree to the left of the front porch! The house kind of had the old look to it as even the adirondack chairs were not in place. Actually it looked as though Little Edie would pop out at any minute as she would have spied us from an upstairs window with her binoculars.

What a magical place. I really felt transported back into time. The house really is a character.
